Micro-needling treatment

$250.00

Size

The Skin Pen treatment uses a precise FDA approved medical instrument with fine needles to create tiny micro punctures in the skin. The treatment helps to reduce visible sun damage, wrinkles, acne scarring and pigmentation. It is also referred to as Collagen Channelling or Collagen Induction Therapy. Using no chemicals, Skin Pen Skin Needling is highly effective as the underlying action of this treatment is simply stimulating a natural reaction in your skin to produce more of its own collagen, elastin, and skin cells.

A radiant complexion can lighten up a room and highlight your youthful features. Luminous, toned skin is associated with youth, but as we age our complexions begin to dull and the skin’s texture becomes lax. Stress, hormonal changes, smoking, and daily sun exposure all contribute to the aging of our skin. At EOL, we consistently strive to offer breakthrough skin care treatments to our lower mainland clients.

Leah wants to help your GLOW shine through with micro-needling treatments.

What does the Skin Pen Treat?

The ease of using the Skin Pen device allows me to quickly and efficiently change the depth settings as well as the speed setting- this enables us to treat more surface areas quicker and all over the body.

  • Textural improvements & skin tone
  • Melasma and pigmentation discolourations
  • Reduce pore size
  • Lip wrinkles
  • Increased product penetration
  • Superficial facial wrinkles
  • Acne/ Trauma scarring

The treatment is generally done on the face, however, the skin needling therapy can be successfully used on any area of the body.

How does skin needling work?

The theory is actually quite simple- create a small controlled wound and the skin will respond by triggering your body’s own natural collagen production and new skin cells. Depending on the depth we choose during your complimentary consultation, the Skin Pen can offer the skin a rejuvenating treatment by increasing product absorption or the more advanced treatments of wrinkles and scars.

How long until I can see results?

Each patient’s healing time is different and will recover at different speeds, though most start to see results in one to seven days after the first treatment. Immediately after the treatment, patients may notice a redness in the treatment area that resembles a minor sunburn and in some cases, there will be pin-point bleeding depending on the length of the needle penetration. Even a light treatment can enhance the appearance of skin texture and brighten your complexion.

What about Downtime?

Day 1- There may be some Erythema (red appearance) and that will depend on how aggressive the treatment was performed along with some mild swelling.

Day 2- A red hue or pink tone may be present much like a mild sunburn. Swelling may be a bit more noticeable on the second day.

Day 3- Skin may still have a slight pinkness to it but should return to a normal colour. Swelling subsides, and you will be prescribed with post-procedure home care.
